Bob has served as President and Trustee of several organizations, most recently as Virginia State President of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, where he was heavily involved with fund raising. He is a volunteer pilot with Angel Flight, flying patients in need of free transportation to medical centers and for Homeland Security in case of an emergency.
He has 4 children and 5 grandchildren, and lives with his wife Wendy in Roanoke, Virginia.
Bob is an active pilot and glider pilot with commercial, multi engine, and instrument ratings and 3,400 hours flying experience. His hobbies also include exercising and fly fishing. He has completed 4 marathons after the age of 60!
After serving in the Marine Corps and graduating from the University of Nebraska at Omaha with a B.S. in Economics. Bob continued advanced studies, and entered the insurance industry, with a focus on non-qualified plans, insurance and corporate planning. Bob consults with the top management of public and closely held companies.
